There’s an urgent need around the world for working medical equipment. Yet hospitals in developing nations lack tools to perform some of the most basic life-saving procedures. TriMedx Foundation was created to raise the standard of healthcare in these impoverished communities.
Inspired by the ministry of Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves to serving the poor and vulnerable. By providing medical equipment, supplies, technical services and training, we enable mission hospitals to raise their level of care and serve those most in need.
Our Beginning
In a small village in Haiti, long-awaited medical equipment had arrived at the Center for the Rural Development of Milot (CRUDEM). Sadly, the donated equipment was damaged during the extensive trip from the U.S., making it inoperable when it arrived. Without the expertise for needed repairs, local providers were unable to care for those in need.
Sister Martha Barlai-Kovach, D.C., from CRUDEM, contacted TriMedx, a healthcare equipment services company, and asked for help. It was on that day that our good work began as TriMedx funded a mission of hope, sending a team of medical equipment technicians to the poorest nation in the world.
Our Mission Continues
Through that experience, we learned of the urgent need for functioning medical equipment in impoverished communities around the world. TriMedx was determined to create a foundation to meet this need, and in 2004, the TriMedx Foundation was formed.
Since then, we’ve partnered with volunteers of various backgrounds to deliver medical equipment, supplies, services and training to 63 mission projects in 18 countries, impacting one million lives.
Our goal? To equip poverty-stricken communities to safeguard the health of its families, long after we’re gone.
